My Laptop Only Shows Black Screen. Not even a System or Safemode

    So I restarted my HD TX10000 laptop one day (running vista.) not when I turn it on, the screen comes on but black, no sound nothing. I try to go into the system setup, boot or even save mode but nothing!! It doesn't even giver me the option? Any ideas? Thank you so much, I need this pc for school lol

    Maybe the inverter is bad, or the backlight in the screen is burnt. This is definitely a hardware problem.

    Try to connect it to an external monitor. Does the same thing happen? If so, it could be your motherboard/video card. If not it is a problem with your LCD.
