A few weeks ago, when I used to plug in the charger for my Dell Inspiron 8200, I would periodically hear a clicking noise, and the battery light would blink instead of staying green. This happened every 5-10 seconds, and it didn't really bother me. But today, I plug in the charger, and I hear that same click, but the green light does not come on again on the charger or on the laptop. Now I can't boot it because it's out of power, and I'm not sure whether the charger or the laptop is the problem, or something else. I really need help fast with this, thanks.

i think your charged may have bit the dust, if you have your computer plugged in, it should run no matter what the battery level is. so if it isn't then that usually denotes a power supply issue.
