My monitor makes small black dots

    Help, About 3 months i was playing on my PC when my monitor started to get small black dots in it,it still gets then in it, so i refreshed it and they go away but then they back about 1 minute later, can anyone plz help me and tell me how to get rid of them for good. thankyou

    try another monitor to see if does same or not as most likely is videocard is causing the dots. clean any dust off the card & make certain card fan is spinning if it has 1.

    are the dots left when you move/delete files and icons or do they appear at random?

    the small dots appear at random for example when i am watching a video they will slowly be created

    is the videocard that is causing the problem.
