My Monitor Won't Turn On

    ok...so i've had this dell monitor for a while and recently i've turned it on and off because i leave it on over night...and for the past week there was this band on the monitor that was really dark but still didnt block anything from being seen...and now on friday it got even worse and started to flicker so i turned it off..now i cant even turn it back on..Any Suggestions?

    get a new monitor or take old 1 in to be repaired

    do you want to play around with 20,000 plus volts in your monitor? that is why i posted that.

    ok thanks again for the tip...i tried to open it up but luckily the casing near the top was stuck so i just gave up and came here...
