ok, i use kazaa a lot, i recently downloaded a movie, it is in the .avi format! i have tried playing it in kazaa, windows media player, and it didn't work, i asked a friend abotu it and he said to download DivX 2.1, so i did, but when i try to open the movie it says "the file i'm opening cotains vieo data that's not recognized", then it says the data is {FOURCC code"0"}, i have downloaded numerous things people have told me to, but it still won't open, does anyone have a url of whatever it is i need to download? i REALLY want to see this movie so i want to fix whatever the problem is, thank you so much in advance.
i forgot to say, if it helps when i try to open the movie it says i may need to download a new codec on my computer to get the movie to play, so what codec, where? please help me out.
Hi I have a similar problem, i downloaded a film off Kazaa and i cant play it. Its an AVI format and i have tried loads of different players but it wont work. It plays the fiolm but no picture, I only get the sound. I can listen to the whole fim but i cant get a picture up!!! Any ideas?? It says that the player cant find the correct decompressor!! Any help appreciated. Cheers Dale
you need to get a program called avi fourcc changer you should be able to download it then change both options to divx and it should work in media player.also download the nimo codec pack and install it
