I am currently using the latest edition of Nero 7, the one with an a at the end. When I turn on Nero Vision, I have no Burn a DVD option. I don't understand why I don't have it. I have the newest version. Here are a few screenshots: This is my startup screen, as you can see, I have the newest version: This is the homepage of nero vision. I don't have the make a DVD option.
Hi want_nero Is this an oem version - like came with a new drive? Or a demo or paid version? Did you have this option before if you have a previous version of 7 installed?
You mean the "Make DVD" option? Try to clean it out by using Nero 7 CleanTool, then reinstall the latest on to see if that solve the problem.
Um...It is a demo version (I think I added a serial number to it, though). It didn't come with a new drive. Is it true that you have to get this plug-in or something? Yes, I do mean that button. I don't have it. I'll try using what alkohol suggested...but I don't think it will work because I tried downloading the newest version again before and it didn't work.
Well then that serial doesn't give you that option. The dvd plug in I don't think there is a trial on it - it's 24.99. You can buy Nero instore for close to that price w/ all the rebates they offer. You only have to buy the plug in if you have Nero Essentials or OEM version.
Do you know what's the problem with my version, though? Doesn't all Nero 7 Ultra Edition have the DVD fuction. I searched the Nero site and it said that the DVD Video plug-in is only for the Essentials edition. Does that mean I have to buy another serial number? If I do buy one, would I have to reinstall Nero? It takes a long time on my computer. In the meantime, can someone give me the Demo Serial Number again?
I'm not sure if the demo has the 'make a dvd' option in Nero. Haven't used a trial in awhile. You wouldn't ave to reinstall if you buy the serial. In product center in Smart Start you can add the serial in the license section. Close Nero - maybe reboot - open Nero and the option should be there. Your serial # allows you to have the different options in Nero.
@want_nero Like binkie said, if you've legally purchased Nero with a legit serial, then you shouldn't have any issue/trouble upgrading/updating to the latest. If I remembered it correctly, I didn't have to get the "plug-in" whatsoever. Here are few tips upon installation: * when it showed the Demo version and it's demo serial, delete the demo serial and type in your Nero Serial. * restart your system, once it's completed If everything is done right, you should have all of Nero's products now, including Nero Recode/Digital, Nero Vision, Nero Burning Rom, Express, ShowTime, BackItUp, CoverDesigner, SoundTrax, PhotoSnap, InfoTool, CD-DVD Speed, Drive Speed. Best of luck!!
