I opened Vision Express (v3.1 I think) and put in one AVI and did the autocreate chapters, selected the DVD+/-R/RW drive, put in blank DVD-R, and set the burning speed to 2x (and chose to have no menu)

So I burned it and when I put it in my DVD player, it seemed to run OK for about 5 minutes but then it go really skipping and shaky and unwatchable. I was running no other programs on my computer so I don't know why it's doing this...

    Any ideas? Thanks

    Also, one more quick question:

Does it matter if I burn directly with NeroVision or should I save it as a DVD file and burn it later with Nero? Is there really a difference?

    Thanks.

Depends on what brands of media you're using and how you set-up Nero Vision to convert/transcode your AVI files. I've always done mine with "High Quality + Progressive + 2 Pass VBR" and mine seems to be good so far.

    Good luck!!

Ok I'll be getting some better media. One more thing though:

Is it OK to burn directly with Nero instead of putting on the HD. Also, when I choose high quality, and 2-passVBR for encoding it says it needs to shrink to fit a 4.7GB DVD (what I want). So I assume I have to let it be automatic, although it can stay on 2passVBR?

    Thanks
