Hey guys, I just got a new Iphone 3GS yesterday on contract from O2, part of the contract being unlimited wifi. Now, I would just like to know, what exactly is Jailbreaking? As far as I have been told, it is being to install cracked appz onto the iphone, which pretty much free full games etc. What I would like to know is, is there more to this? Would this in any way affect my contract, affect my internet access?

Also, how would I go about doing this?

    Thanks guys.

Also, is it possible to sync the cracked appz to another persons iPhone, if that iPhone is not jailbreaked? I.e. sync to my itunes and then sync that to his iPhone?

ok, lets try to think about this logically. I mean, really, do you think you could sync those apps from one phone to another? No, of course not. Apple would obviously have thought of such a scenario and prevented that from happening.

Second, look up the benefits of jailbreaking on your own. We're here to help on technical matters, or the processing of new techniques, but not to spoonfeed information that has not only been answered on here before, but information easily available if you spent some time looking it up.

So look up information yourself, and if you have any questions once you have looked up said information, we will be happy to help.
