Do as Waymon3X6 says, and if the problem keeps happening, then you'll have to upgrade to the 1.1.1 firmware using the iPod Updater.

Hello strad37, welcome to the iPod forums!

Which version of the iPod's firmware are you currently running?

The title under his name says 'Newbie' much like yours does. And the PLEASE HELP ME! plea is a bit of a give away ;)

Hey folks. I have sort of the same issue here. But here is where I confused. I turned my 'pod on at 6:30 am EST and proceeded to watch a copy of Lost and at about 7:15am it froze up. It is now 9:05am EST. My battery has lasted over 2.5 hours. Is that normal? I read that the 60GB version can last for 3 hours; I have the 30GB version. Could the photo have been burned in the LCD screen?

    Thanks!

Okay folks, I jumped the gun. The battery finally died, but wow. I had no idea it could last that long for a video. Gonna see if there is a newer firmware upgrade.
