my new video capture card

    I have a tv tuner video capture card Pinnacle 5 and i record some clips (Short films) on the hd and i try to use adobe 5.5 to cut 5 or 10 minutes advertising from the film. is the adobe 5.5 good? to edit?.
    what kind of converter i can download or buy to convert to mpeg? or i can use adobe 5.5 to convert?

    Hi there, I think that Adobe 5.5 should be a good programe but honestly, I do not have much experience of it because of the expensive $$ and pretty technical to use. I believe that Pinnacle video card should come with their own video capturing software like Pinnacle DV Sudio, etc which already able to convert video into either Mpeg1 or Mpeg2. Well if you are still looking for program that allows converting AVI to mpeg, try TMPGEnc which many DVD rippers are using.
