Bought an OEM DVD-r Drive and installed it as my secondary CD. First one is a CD-R/DVD. Can read both DVDs and CDs bought I cant write to it. Keeps saying invalid media. Cant find an updated driver on Panasonic or Matsushita Websites. I am running Windows XP Pro. What have I done wrong. Thanks
You do not list the model you have, mine is a 311, if it is a DVD ram drive as well, then this one does not write to CD's, they have just produced a newer model that does.
Its an DVD-RAM SW 9581 manufactured by Matsushita. According to the spec sheet it burns DVDs and Cds......or should.
It does list it as a DVD Recordable Drive here: http://www.gocyberlink.com/english/products/powerproducer/comp_dvd_drives.jsp Trying to find more info on this drive just brings up Japanese website results (NOT GOOD) !!
