Hi Well, it's not much that it's slow, it's just that whenever I turn it off, it like, waits 2 minutes and then the harddrive starts turning off stuff. Same goes for the start-up. What's the matter, what keeps the thing from loading?
check your control panel/system/hardware/device manager/ ide/atapi sata controllers and make sure they are set to DMA, if they are set to PIO that's probably your problem.
i don't know about u but i always just shut off all programs that would be writing to the HDD then hold the power button till it shuts off. 10 second shut off every time
