My Plextor PX740UF doesn't booktype

    I'm probably blind and this question has probably been answered before but could someone help me out here? I hunted and couldn't find what I needed. Thanks

    Thanks ever so much zebadee. It worked like a charm. As I understand it, the internal version of 740A is the same as the external 740UF. When I upgraded the firmware it used the same upgrade as the 740A. Again, thank you much.

    Hi,
    Glad it worked. My reservations had to do with enclosure rather than drive. As I've not had an external Plextor. Although made one up using crossflashed BenQ 1640 & plumax caddy.;-)

    Got a pretty good deal on this one. It had $90 worth of rebates so I bought it. Actually got my rebates too though it took forever.
