I've created a video using my camcorder have edited it in Adobe Premiere and now wish to burn it to a CD-R or CD-RW. Im using nero and have successfully created a VCD first by trying an AVI file that didnt work then exporting an MPEG via Premiere which worked. I cant seem to create a S-VCD or VCD CD-R that will play on my DVD players a toshiba sd 3109 or a sony DVP S360 (and even tried my XBox). I've used the Nero S-VCD plug-in and Im about to become desperate and buy a DVD writer. Which Im not even sure will fix my problem. But before I go too far can somebody anybody please tell me what I'm doing wrong. I've gone through about every tutorial I can find and the only thing I can think of is that my DVD players wont play SVCD's or VCD's. If I purchase a DVD writer will I be essentially guaranteed that my movies will play in my DVD players. My mother is asking me every other day for videos of my little daughter and I dont want to send them VHS I really want to make this work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just did a quick search of your players on vcdhelp.com and it seems none of your players (toshiba, sony, X-box) support the playback of SVCD.

Try taking your SVCD to a friend's place (or a store with DVD players) and see if it works there. There may be nothing wrong with your creations.
