My video ipod sound is messed up.. music only comes from the left headphone....sum1 plz help

    i have a 30 gig video ipod that iv had for about 2 1/2 years now so tha 1 year apple warranty isnt valid nemore... when i listen 2 my ipod now, sound only comes out from the left headphone.. i have tried multiple different types of headphones and earphones including brand new ones so tha problem is obviosly coming from my ipod... does any1 kno whts wrong? and wht should i do? shoul i take it to tha apple store or send it back to thm or wht? please help :) thankyou

    I had the same problem, you probably need a new headphone jack... There are all kinds of online stores where you can buy spare parts, but I can't really recommend any as I've only just ordered mine...

    First try cleaning it out with a toothpick or something that will fit in there without damaging it and see if that helps. Sometimes dirt and crap get in there and it prevents the sound signal from reaching parts of the headphone jack.
