    is this what you did?

    1)create new partition , primary , FAT32.

    2) The PC should assign a new drive letter.

    3) Format the new partition to WBFS using The Windowd GUI tool.

    4) The GUI should now recognized the drive.

    5) try loading/trasfer game from PC to the NEW WBFS HDD.

    6) connect HDD to Wii it should recognized the new Drive/partition.

this is what i did i create a parition by going to start> right clicked my compuer> clicked manage>storage manager>disk management> right clicked the usb hard drive E: > shrink volume designated 50gb to that partion then it showed unallocated volume> right clicked unallocated volume> simplify volume i gave it drive letter it does not give me an option to make if fat 32 just ntfs.. i took the drive to wii and plugged it if found the 50gb partition and formatted it..
Volume F: shows in my computer if click on it it asks me to format i klicked no and here i am after ive tried using wbfs manager and the other one

Try formating it to NTFS again and use the WBFS Manager 2.2 to format the drive to WBFS not the USB Loader.

vista sucks...that's the only reason.. he.he. You need to update the framemaker for the GUI, it's not the WBFS that has a problem...

you can also used the DOS command line but that's to much complicated for you..

Well at least it get's you going...not sure if version 8 works for you..Happy gaming..

-- Can you do the same thing on the WBFS 2.2.2, right click and launch as admin?

Yes, I can confirm in vista, you have to launch the WBFS as administrator in order to get it work. If you just start it from the start bar and try to format the drive, it will ended in error.

I guess I never thought of that. I use Vista but have the UAC turned off. That is probably why I don't have to run it as administrator. Next time I run across this issue I will tell them to try running it as administrator.

Did anyone find a fix for this? I had the same error as the first post. Nothing working with WBFS and none of my cd/dvd burners were detected by Nero or Img Burn. I uninstalled Nero and WBFS works like a charm. Maybe you've installed some software recently that could be messing with WBFS?

Then when i tried to open it, good ol' vista screws with me and says "WBFS Manager has stopped working" The under it its says "windows is collecting info, to help fix this." Anyone out there who has any suggestions, or maybe another program like this???
