so far this has happened only with fo3. I'll be playing the game, with nothing eventful going on in the screen: no explosions, no rooms full of enemies, no enormous landscapes, nothing interesting, and all of a sudden the game freezes. the xbox button becomes non-responsive and the only way to get things moving is by manually restarting the 360. room temperature is mild, but the rear part of the 360 feels a bit warm, but not terribly. i can't say if the problem is with the 360 or only with the game in question, as I haven't had time to experiment with other games. does it sound like I have a damaged disc or is this a sign of bad things to come for my 360?
not always is it a precursor to the RROD, but more then likely it is, look at the bottom of your disc, is it scratched? which will generally kick you back to the dashboard not just a freeze up, so it probably is starting to go, do you have your 360 well ventilated?
you never said it was modded in the original post, but seeing as it is, i can't help as i haven't and will not mod my 360.
Same here. except i start my game, and after about 2 min of so, it freezes! everytime it gets a loading screen, or i press to many buttons, or open a door! (this is w/ Oblivion) its so annoying, the only way i stop it is by restarting it. I haven't played my 360 in a couple weeks cuz of school, and i just got an update as soon as i turned it on, and right before it started. Does it have anything to do with it? i got my xbox back around thanksgiving 08, after sending it in (from not recognizing it was a 360...) could u help me out?
it couldnt be much as the save didnt save right, this only happened with my left 4 dead game and nothing else, the disc was brand new and the first loading screen or loading between the safehouses it would freeze, i tried fixing it by deleting my saved file and re inserting it and it pretty much worked.
My xbox started to freeze sometime ago I had it next to the speakers which are located nest to the t.v. I could see the heat coming behind of my t.v. so I moved the xbox a bot lower and sivce then it never hardly freezes.
