My 360 worked perfect when i first got it but now it wont read 360 games and if it tries it says "please insert a DVD" at a dvd screen. It reads DVDs and old xbox games fine but just 360 games dont work can someone please help me with this.
Is this a hacked 360 or a regular one? If it's a regular one try unplugging it for 5 minutes also check to see if the disc is damaged next maybe blow on the trey to clear any dirt and grime.Not much you can do except take it back.
its a regular xbox im pretty sure i just un-plugged it and ill reply after i plug it in. and i just unplugged the power chord do i need to unplug anything else.
I un-plugged it for atleast 5 minutes and plugged it back in but this time it seemed like it didnt even try to read it it just said reading at the bottem then bout 5 seconds later it said open tray and not once of about 5 times did it read it or even say it was a dvd.
Well when I asked if it was hacked I mean did you mod it. I didnt mod it so its not hacked. i thank you for the help. the warrenty ran out and i quess id have to send it to tech support or something.
Yeah maybe you can get it repaired.It is also covered by microsofts manufacture warranty which may still be good.Unfortunately if you read the fine print they try everything possible to not honor it.
I've had the same problem...It seems to be a glitch in some of the first sold 360s.... I still havn't turned mine in(Too lazy)...but they will replace it with a newer console.
