Hello i have a problem with a Myth Lite 610 modchip(menu says v1.75 also)It's not booting PS1 games although it should directly , without any button combination etc..
Tried holding SELECT at startup and this led to the screen going black and stuck there . What's the solution for this ?

I have a SCPH 70004 and the game is Metal Gear Solid - PAL ( SLES_013.70 ) . Those patches are for what ?

Well as said, some modchips didn't get past the protection in a lot of PS1 games, so that is what those patches are for among other things.

Metal Gear Solid should work fine though without patching.

How did you burn it, using Alcohol with the PS1 setting in Datatype.

    I used ImgBurn , media is CD-RW ( that a problem ? )
I have a feeling that whatever i burn leads to same result :(

Yes the problem would be the CD-RW. Most PS2 won't even read CD-RW and even if they can read it, those disks are very hard on your laser.

    Use CD-R

Imgburn should be ok, but if it still does not work, use Alcohol 120

I burned a CD-R with ImgBurn and..same thing . The screen goes black for a few seconds, then i get a screen showing the memory card " There is no data " and then the " Please insert Playstation or Playstation 2 disc" .
When i disable the chip ,it acts different, takes me straight to the " Please insert .." screen .
When i press SELECT at startup the screen remains black, nothing shows up .
I'm pretty sure there's a problem with the chip .Either i'm not entering PSX mode right or..it's defective can't read PSX .

That modchip you shouldn't have to press 'Select' at all

It should just autoboot the ps1 game.

I would try another PS1 backup and see how it goes.

I would advise to burn them with Alcohol PS1 datatype and burn no faster than 12x speed.

Again depends upon how the PS1 backup was created on how to burn it.

I can remember doing FFVIII and it took me like 3 times to get the burn right.

Tried several games with ImgBurn and Alcohol , all failed .I didn't patch them in any way , really don't know how to use that PPF patcher. Could PSX games really cause all these problems to backup/burn ? I still think it's because of the chip , when i boot PS2 games the MYTH logo appears onscreen , with PSX nothing happens , just black screen

I would have to say then that there is something wrong with the modchip

Did you install it yourself and check all connections.
