Would you believe how much damage a 12 year old can do to your computer, in half an hour? I now have that freakin "mywebsearch" toolbar in FF. I'm aware you can disable the add on, but I want to remove it. Because it's a typical spyware, there's no add or remove option, or any Program Files folder. I went into Regedit to see what I could do, and the first thing it tossed up was HKEY_USERS>.Default>Software>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Internet settings>ZoneMap>Domains. It's featured in a subkey, but all of the other keys are VERY suspicious, mainly being porn domains. This is all I've noticed so far, besides FireFox using lots of memory. Hello i_am_alex, This should take care of your problem. Follow the steps to run Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware: Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop. Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program. • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish. • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. • Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan. • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results. • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. <-- Don't forget this. • When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
