Just been listening to a radio programme here in Dublin, they have had the chairman of NTL/UPC saying that they are going after the suppliers of illegal boxes in Ireland and have already got one of the biggest to cooperate with them and give them a list of purchasers: Also they said they are going to use a different system in January (higher frequency I think he said) that will make all these boxes non and void. He said they are going to crack down on suppliers and users. Anyone know about this? Berkat
Hey, heard somethin similar in W'ford. N*l are supposed to be changing frequencies and changing codes every 8 hours to disable illegal boxes from January onwards... the lads from N*l told me... I work in the same building as them. How true is it? Don't know. How likely is it to work? Don't know. But what I do know is that it won't be long before there's a fix available!!
just reading through a lot of posts here and the general message i am getting is wait and see, looks like there may be a fix as they have managed to acheive this always in the past. Thanks Berkat
yeah, they did change codes a c=few times a day a couple of months ago but also affected paying customers aswell!! As u said... reading through the posts gives hope that there WILL be a fix wotever happens!! Don't think I can go back to regular tv, might taker up sport or cycling or running again if we get hit!!! lol
