N*L what are they up to?

Hi,

New to site. I heard that recently N*L have found out that various decoders process code changes at a certain speed. If they change code rapidly it sends the decoders into a loop. When it stops a manual code is needed. Also the manufacturers of these boxes are working on a Firmware upgrade. Anyone know anymore on this subject. PS fair play to you guys and girls that keep the rest of us going with updates.
