NAGRA 3 Rollout In Ireland - Channels Affected So Far

Nagra 3 has been rolled out in Ireland. Only a few channels are affected so far, these are MUTV and the adult channels.

Other channels will probably start to disappear gradually over the next few weeks. The UK is not affected as of yet, they are probably waiting to see how they get on over here.

There is currently no fix available for this and in all likelihood won't be for quite some time. People are looking at it, but you are talking months and maybe even years, not a matter of weeks.

So while the situation isn't hopeless, it is going to take a bit of patience.

 

Evastar there are no football channells either now Celtic, Chelsea and liverpool stations are also gone.

the uk is fine so far....will keep everyone updated.

 

Must be a regional thing, in North County Dublin, we haven't even had the cards replaced yet, yet alone some channels switching over to Nagra 3.

These channels have now moved to N3 so it wont matter how many times you scan your box you will not get them back and its only a matter of time before more move up the tree and at the present time there does not look like there is likely to be a fix for a while to come so enjoy what you have for the moment

 

Is this switch over just happening in Dublin? Is it happening on all kind of boxes eurovox, starview etc? Have the people who subscribe to these stations affected been given new cards from the cable companys? Also I remember reading a couple of months back that some boxes can cope with N3, personally I dont think this is true but Im not as well up on this stuff as you people.

 

It is happening on NTL Ireland as far as I know, so Chorus areas are not affected yet.

All boxes connected to NTL will be affected.

set sp 2 was only off while all ireland club finals were on, back now, for time being anyway

 

Setanta 2 is still working of the 1800h stream for the moment, went down for a while today must have been a service provider issue

 

oh i know because tg4 have the rights to club finals in ireland, thats why it must have been off, getting paranoid everytime i get a blank screen

 

Don't know if there gone but S*Y Premiere and Premiere+1 I'm getting please wait code being updated and I have already have the au software installed.

 

I don't think they broadcast before ten am, maybe check them later.

 

Your right Evastar think this whole changeover has me paranoid everytime I see a screen without pictures.

 

This is all worrying at the moment. some of the Discovery channels gone as well. Will we have to replace the whole box when someone gets a solution or is it a case of a new image been developed. I am a Nokia dbox2 user.

 

The new encryption, Nagra 3, has been in use in Europe for a year or so, it is yet to be cracked.

Were it to be cracked it is possible existing boxes could be given new firmware and continue to work, then again it is also possible they will be redundant.
