But they're transmitting both N2 and N3 at the moment they haven't turned off N2 yet.

Untrue, we will all know when they are solely using N3.

The dreambox hypercam_1.06 log file still picks up 1801 which is N2 so it must be still streaming.

Your man has been fairly close to the money all along and he reckons that they have switched off N2,ill give him a shout and find out.

kopkidda you are a member on here, so you therefor know the story about posting anything like that on here, where is the proof. Dont get me wrong I would love if they have switched to N3 and the boxes are still working but again where is the proof, until that is provided this is just another one of those pointless threads.

n2 and n3 are bein used side by side at the moment...we will know what the full story is when n3is used solely...and if n3 is already bein used solely, why are the other well known boxes not upto date wit the situation?they are losing out big time...n3 will reach full status in the uk around july or sept this year...most likely july latter for ireland.

I have a question. If N2 and N3 are being used side by side at the moment, and the KV has all channels (which would obviously include current N3 channels), then what would change when N3 is fully rolled out?

If KV is doing N3, doesn't that mean it's okay going forward? What channels are on N3 at the moment? And how do we know?

In easy words there are currently 2 streams for descrambling at each channel. One for N2 and one for N3. A receiver with a N2 card or the fixed dodgy boxes are kicking in at the N2 stream and receivers with a N3 card at the N3 stream.
After the last subscriber of a channel group got a N3 card UPC simple switch off the N2 stream for that channel group and there is nothing left over for the dodgy boxes they can handle.

    Exactly,

the kryptview is working on N2 only, not n3, how can it work on something that hasnt been cracked?

Dont ya love those "I was told, I heard, a bloke told me" rumours

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it a simple fact that N3 is card-based? Surely that would imply that none of these boxes would be working if the N3 switch had already been made?

    on the ball skelly,

gen provider boxs are working on N2 and N3, based on the card they have, the kryptview, SV4, ITGATE etc are working on the N2 stream only. if those chans go to N3, you will get the blank screen on those ones. same as before
