Hey Guys, I am brand new on AfterDawn so go easy on me please. Anyway, Some of my friends have various versions of ipods and they have like writing on the back of their ipod such as their name or their phonenumbers or a phrase they like. When i ask about this they always say that they got it from apple and apple did it. I got my 30gb from another store (not sure what store-birthday gift) and not from apple. Does anybody know a way to get it customized like this even if i dindt bet it for Apple???????
If you take it to any Apple store they will/should do it for you even if you didnt get it from the Aple store because it is there product! Heres a Link to help you find your local Apple store! http://www.apple.com/retail/ And Welcome to Afterdawn.com ~Domreis
Be careful when getting your iPod engraved, coolGray, as it maybe extremely difficult to sell on if you decide to.
ok i am shocked by this news - they WILL engrave it even if you didnt buy it from them? Well i bought mine from my local dixons store and i wonder if they will do this at my apple store in the trafford centre? (i am from UK XD) and if so will they do it there or send it off and is it free?!?!?!?!?!
Jazo- you can still send in your previously existing iPod and get it customized. They put on a scratch resistant coating too. Here's the page which allows this: http://www.colorwarepc.com/content.aspx?id=16
Yeah, I like the color combination at this link: http://www.colorwarepc.com/content.aspx?id=43 but that's an awful lot of money to spend on that. Good to know though in case I want to do this in the future.
yeah that looks like a good color combo it's expensive but the color is supposed to be scratch resistant so it might be worth it for some people.
I've seen people selling and buy a pink iPod Video 30GB on ebay for $500 and people were still bidding on it.
Doesn't seem worth it IMO, you can get many different kinds of silicone cases to suit your tastes, and they do a more than adequate job of protecting the iPod, and are more reasonable pricewise. With new iPods coming out every six months, they really [bold]aren't[/bold] worth spending good money customizing..
