    Ok. I want to back up Chronicles of Narnia, cause I dont want to lose it. I First use DvDFAB to get it on my HD. Then DvDSHrink to get it compressed, then burn it with Nero. Well, I have used Verbatim Lightscribe DvD+r, HP DVD+R, and not one sucessful copy. It says it burns correctly, but nope. I put it in my PS2 (cause it is the pickiest DVD player in the world) and no play. Just for kicks, I put in a Sony DVD+R and BAM, magic! No problem. I want to make a Lightscribe copy for myself cause the labels are great. But what could be wrong? Thanks for any imput ya'll might have

    What was your burn speed? You shouldn't go above 1/2 the rated speed of the disc.

    Is your firmware up-to-date? Perhaps the discs are to new for your burner to know?

    Can you post your Nero log?

    Usually that is media or firmware out of date. The Verbatim Lightscribes are the only ones i use or suggest you use, and you have. So a burn log will tell us what is going wrong.
    [bold]Nero 6 history log location: Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt

    Nero 7 history log location: Program Files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory.txt[/bold]

    These things record all burns, and we only need the last one. The burns are seperated by something like this:

    [bold]--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ====== *** NeroAPI, History File *** ======

    Windows XP 5.1
    IA32-xxxx-xxxx-
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/bold]

    that was from a Nero 6 log, but 7 looks much like that. Underneath the divider is the operating system, and right below that is the begining of the serial number. When posting a log, just include the last burn log, and be sure to edit out your serial numbers by typing xxxx over them, or deleting them before posting to the forum.
