I have been trying for weeks to create iso of my nba live discs and use emulation software to run the isos from my hard drive. I am able to install the program but when I try to run it the game either hangs or prompts me to put the correct cd in the drive. Can anyone help?
Not sure how to go about doing that. I did some searches for no cd, nba live 06. found a few virus' but nothing solid. any ideas?
First off.. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/262065 And then there's the fact that talking about no cd cracks is against forum rules...
I am using an original factory cd to make the iso. I have tried using several different programs. One being Alcohol 120. Alcohol is giving me errors when i try to create the iso.
Since a mass of read errors at the beginning of a SafeDisc protected game it sounds like the game might use some version of it. Let's make sure of the protection with A-Ray Scanner. Get it installed and scan the game for us. http://www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Tools/CD-DVD-Rip-Other-Tools/ARay-Scanner.shtml
I downloaded and installed that program. the protection on disc 2 is safedisc 2 and on disc one it's safe disc 2.8.. What should I do now. I tried using Alcohol 120 and tried each safe disc (safe disc, safe disc 2/3) and neither worked on either disc.
This is what happened when I scanned disc 2 [15:56:23 PM] --- File(s) Scan Finished [0.03s] --- [15:57:52 PM] Signs on CD/DVD indicate SafeDisc 2/3 [15:57:53 PM] Possible SafeDisc, Version is removed [15:57:53 PM] --- File(s) Scan Finished [1.23s] ---
Ok so we're most likely dealing with SafeDisc. What I would suggest is that you use the SafeDisc 2/3 profile in A120 and let it rip the entire disc - you'll see a mass of errors which is normal so let it keep going and they'll end after a while. Once the complete ISO is made try to mount and use that one. **edit** I haven't used A120 in ages but there should be some way to adjust the read speed down to something like 2X or 4X. You'll get a more accurate read when you go slow like that.
Ok, i will try that. Do you know of any way I can just copy the two discs to my hard drive and play it from my hard drive without the discs?
If you make an accurate enough rip you should be able to mount the image with A120 or Daemon Tools and run it from your hard drive. Emulation may or may not be needed.
thanks, i've been working on it for some time now but i have been trying to rip at max speed so I will slow it down and see how that works. thanks
justa FYI, NBA live 06 is Safedisc v4.00.001 - v4.00.003 protected which means your gonna have to use Alcohol 120% datatype set to Safedisc 2/3 for read and write
Sorry guys. I am going to try it tonight and I will let you know if it worked either tonight or tomorrow morning.
