Well I guess if there was a patch it would say if there was a patch for it now wouldnt it. If you would have read it says the only way is if you play it off Disc or if you have Krayzies softmod instaled. read the full thread.

    @larrylje

Can you walk me through the making backup of that game?

I don't really understand the process.

my xbox is krayzie installed already. I donwloaded the file "attach.xbe", which you can find inside the component folder of driveimageutils.zip file. I also download the c-xbox tool.

what i don't understand is to make the file iso. actually what i did is I used dvd2xbox to copy the game on hd then ftp it to pc hd, then i make an iso file by using the c-xbox tool. is this correct?

as for the game title renaming that i don't understand also.

could help me on this, if you don't mind.

    thanks alot

I think you just PMed me and I PMed you back.

But here is the short version of what to do.

FTP to your Xbox and copy the D: folder to your computer HDD (D: Folder is your DVD drive when you have a disc inerted.) I do not rip the game to Xbox HDD with dvd2xbox. I just pull the game stirght off the D: Folder.

Use a program to make the ISO and name it (NBA Live 06) so you will have NBA Live 06.iso file.

    Now for the attach.xbe file.

Run the c-xbox tool program. and choose (Edit XBE-TITLE) In the list on the left hand side.

Now click on the folder next to the XBE-File field and browse and select the attach.xbe file.

You will notice now in the Title field it says (Attach Virtual Disc) that is what we are going to change.

In the New Title field type (NBA Live 06) and then click on edit XBE at the bottem and it will make an xbe file name (renamed.xbe)

Now make a folder (which later you will FTP to your Xbox) name it NBA Live 06 and place the NBA Live 06 ISO and the renamed.xbe file in that folder.

Now you need to rename the xbe file to default xbe. So highlight renamed.xbe right click your mouse and click on rename in the list. Now type default for the XBE file name.

    So now you should have....
    NBA Live 06 Folder

    inside that folder should be...
    NBA Live 06 ISO
    default.xbe

Now FTP that folder to your Xbox HDD and you should bebale to play off the HDD.

i followed everything you said all the steps. I successfully made everything.
now my problem is transfering the folder to my xbox hd. i don't get it. the default.xbe file is about 6M and the nba live 06.iso file is more than 2.6G when i transfer the folder i looked at the folder on my xbox hd. the files don't have the same file size specially the iso file. the iso file is 0Meg. how could this be?

    what am I doing wrong?

    kindly explain?

Do you have enough space on your Xbox HDD to transfer over the folder?

yes! i believe i have more than 140G left. I've been reading around that xbox cannot read iso file, except you burn the iso file.

but on the tutorial transfer the iso file and the xbe to the xbox hd

    and now it's not working.

made a ISO out of the directory D which is about 2.6gigs using quix
Burnt the ISO with NERO with "burn image to disc"

Put the disc in and the xbox doent recongnise it as a xbox dvd...

If you did exatcly what you said then it should work. Maybe your using cheap media. Maybe it was a bad burn. Id try again. The proccesses you used should work.
