Hi, I'm after a little help with my friends DSi & R4i. Both are brand new this christmas. The DSi is running ver 1.4E and the R4i SDHC is the new V1.4 red box version.

I have download the lateset firmware from http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp (R4i English V1.14b) and extracted it. I've then copied everything to the sd card (16gb). When i load the DSi and selcect the 'Star Wars Lethal Alliance' icon, all i get is a black screen with white writing saying 'An error has occurred. Press and hold the POWER Button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Nintendo DSi Operations Manual for details.

Any ideas? Tried re-downloading the firmware incase it was corrupt, but stilll get the same message??

1 - did you download the software from the site on the box (there are 3 R4iSDHC cards
2 - Ensure the clock is correctly set on the DS - this upsets some R4's
3 - Ensure the SD card is seated correctly in the R4 before putting into the DS

You will see 100's of posts here all trying to get the R4 to work, the main issue is that there are 41 different types.

Try a smaller card (although the R4SDHC SHOULD be able to accept the 16gb I have seen issues with people using an 8GB card never mind a 16GB).

The expert on this forum for R4's is PUGGWASH look through this forum

and send him a personal message.

If you ever need another flashcart, cyclods, ezflash v, acekard and M3 real all are easy to set up and work well

I've tried a 2gb card of mine and got the same results. I'm wondering if its just a faulty cart and cannot read from the sd card.
