    folks

have a NEC 2510a burner (updated firmware to 2.18)
burns ok, but then when i go back to 'my computer' it just shows up as a blank disc

however, nero info / dvd decrypter shows that there is data on the disc.

    any thoughts would be appreciated

    cheers

download dvdinfopro (free) and see if you can do a media info check. If so, paste results here

have you recently installed any software lately?
try using another app to burn the same file/image or whatever it was

i suspect something is wrong with your software

nope, no new software, just different media, which i think could be the problem

sony dvd's - lead in code of D11 seem to give grief, maxells and riteks are fine...

still able to burn on the sonys, but nero can't verify, cause it can't mount the disc., and then when trying to explore whats on the disk, windows explorer bowls out...

just bought 50 of those sodding sony dvds - not impressed...

that's the only thing i can think of.

nb - same issue with nec 2510a and liteon 1673

    cheers

nb nero info tool crashes when doing a save of the discinfo, so maybe nero is up the swanee to...

i think its a combination of different pc, different burner and different discs - the setup i have has issues with those sony discs.

    maxell from now on methinks
