Is this model the same as another HP model on the market. I would like to update firmware if there is one available. NEC does not even have this model on it's web site.
Go to http://www.herrie.org it lists all nec drives and clones with hacked (I personally recommend and use) you have to sign up but its well worth it See ya
Yes, I did that and downloaded the ND1100 hacked firmware for bitsetting. Works good. I lost ability to write to DVD-R, but I only use DVD+R. AS a ND1200AD, I was able to write DVD-R, but only at 2X.
