NEC ND-1300A blanks but not write CD-RW

Hi

My new nd-1300a (black) can read CDs and blank CD-RW but cannot write CD-RW. I have tried two different brands (TDK 700 CDRW 4x and Maxell 700 CDRW 4x-10x). Dont have any blank DVD media so cant try with that yet.

Tried Nero 6.0.0.0 and 6.0.0.19 and BurnAtOnce. The burn light on the drive is on only about 4 seconds. The it dimms out and the software does nothing.

Motherboard MSI K7D-Master-L and drive on secondary master.

Firmware 1.06 on delivery, have updated to 1.08 (NEC version and herries version or something). Non of the versions does any diffrence.

Now it wont even burn with my old drive. Same strange behaviour.

 

hey deep, why dont you check your transfer mode.

Strange how the problem always lie where you look last. Windows had the mode to udma. Hade to force it to pio.
