brobear, have you tried dvdremake yet, it'll do a whole lot for those titles and menus you're talkin' about.

For now I'm with brobear, but after a couple of generations and a media price drop Ill come on board.

I'll be aboard soon, hopefully. I may have been exaggerating, the titles really aren't that bad either, plus, I don't have to watch them that long.

My thinking is this, for extremely long epic like movies with some extras I may wnat to keep, then I'll use it. Otherwise I'll be doing the same as you. I gotta admit my curiosity has got the better of me, I'm anxious to see how it does.

I have a DRU-700 Sony DL burner. It is a nice 8X (single layer) +/-DVD burner.

I have really no use for it's DL function at this time. With the great software we all have, especially Rebuilder/CCE/DVDRemake, I cannot think of almost no circumstance where I will need Double Layer function.

If the price of the media does not drop to LESS THAN $2.00 for a blank disc, the whole concept will be a gigantic bust. Maybe, just maybe, if they develop a Double Layer DVD+/-RW for maximum $4-5 will they sell a few more units to regular guys who are not techno-nuts like us.

You have 2 programs competing for the same system resources, like memory. They have the option to turn them off. I always leave them off and only turn them on as needed and I would never turn the 2 on at the same time. Why would you have them both on at the same time? Other than that being the default, which you had a choice of changing with AnyDVD.

With respect to the "gossping/chit-chat" on Page 2, please take it to a PM/Safety.

    Cheers.
