    You said the phone was originally from canada but is locked to a service provider in Hong Kong...Doesnt make sense....

    6101 from canada will not work in HK as the frequency has different.

    yea i got my phone in canada, and i bought it with me for vacation. Different band huh....that shows how crappy i am with cellphones.... thanks anyways
