Need a complete guide on how to make my HTPC?

    Hi there,
    I've searched through the discussions on this forum, but I can't find the guides that were once-it's been a long time since I've been here, BTW I like what you've done with the place :D-I wanna connect my computer to my HDTV and I don't know what parts I'll be needing, or even what OS should I be using!
    Another thing: I wanna play a 1920x1080p movie on my HDTV-that isn't a FullHD, using the computer is this possible?

    I posted a similar question awhile back. I don't think there is much discussion on this group regretfully. After doing some searching I found that XBMC is one of the more popular operating systems. I found a ton of useful info over there yesterday. Maybe start with this thread: XBMC forum
