need a device that will read divx files from usb drive and play it on the TV

    I'm looking for some sort of cheap gadget that will interface a usb drive with divx files on it to a tv. can someone help me find one?

    LOL I was going to suggest the exact same thing. I have a similar thing at home that a external drive is linked to and it works great.

    a dvd player with usb imput that plays divx files might be cheaper.got a philips myself model is dvp 3252.Since blu ray came out, dvd players seem to be getting cheaper every minute.

    edit: havnt tryed a portable hard drive on mine but used several usb sticks and they work fine.
