hi all, hope evry1 is good, just have a quick question.

can any1 give me a good recommendation for a HDTV for the sole purpose for playing the Xbox 360 and for occasionally using the TV as a second monitor?

I am looking for something between 22-27".

could any1 suggest some budget models plz, this would be greatly appreciated.

i have been looking around but am unsure on what to get. i have also read a few other threads but the recommendations are from US shops and are quite expensive.
note- i live in the UK hence the question (otherwise i would of just got 1 of the other tv's i have seen on dif threads

    t)hanks for reading. :)

    hello,

well i was after a cheap 1 but if i have to, i dont mind spending more,
but i have seen some very cheap ones on other threads but those are all in the US, they have been in the region of $350-550, which is about £275.

The UK prices are soooo much higher so i gather im gonna have to spend alot more.

i was hoping someone may have seen a few cheap hdtv's in the UK, and depending on that, i would vary my budget.

If you are only going to spend 500 US dollars, dont buy an HDTV it wont be worth it. If you really want to see what the XBOX 360 can do, you are going to need to spend nearly 1000 US dollars. Otherwise its just going to be shitty picture on a monitor that says HDTV on the front.
    --- just my thoughts

    i see,
would a Large monitor be a solution then or will these empty the wallet as well??

do you know of any budget UK based sites though(for the HDtv - i have google'd but dont no if I can trust any of them), i suppose i will have to spend more money but it would still be nice if I could save a bit.

    also- thanks the response :)

No particular model, but Sharp is one of the best for Flat Panel LCDs.

See if you can find a website that offers customer reviews.
