HI I am going to buy a laptop now I was looking at this one at neweggg heres the link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220529 I thought it was pretty fast I know all the specs but as I look around more there are more expensive ASUS that are not as good so if someone thinks there is a better laptop please let me know one more thing I have been googling and searching for days but on the model I showed you I cant see if It supports dual harddrives or 8gb memory it has 4 stock so please someone I need your help
What do you need a second opinion on? "one more thing I have been googling and searching for days but on the model I showed you I cant see if It supports dual harddrives or 8gb memory it has 4 stock so please someone I need your help" The answer was on the manufacturer's website. It's typically the first Place I go for accurate specifications On anything. Here's the spec sheet: http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=osNmnxBV4R5ABgrp&content=specifications 8gb memory = NO dual hard drives = YES
well that sucks about the memory do you think thats a good price for it mabey I can get another model thats better for cheaper what would you do
Personaly I would spend a few more $ to get the HP DV7T or Dell XPS M1730. The 1GB Radeon 4860 in the HP has higher scores than the 130M in the Acer. The M1730 has SLI graphics with Physics available. Both the HP & the Dell support 2-drive raid and 8gb memory. They are even available already setup with those options...
well I know this might be a dumb question but, I cant overclock laptops right and if I could would I be able to do it with laptops like hp or are they locked down
oh and what about the HDX18t series for hp hows its video card plus its ddr3 I think that one might be better
The HDX18T is nice, but to configure it the way you want, it will probably cost you $1900 or more. Laptops can be overclocked using software sometimes, but it is usualy not worth it, as it kills battery life and makes more heat than the tiny coolers can handle.
ok but I have another question how can you tell if a video card is good on a laptop I mean desktops are like 256mb by 128 Bit like that how can you tell on the laptops
