need an upconverter/HD-DVD player that supports PAL and NTSC

    like it said above. does the toshiba a3 support pal? i looked in the afterdawn specs and didnt find anything about it. is there like a firmware fix for it? ive been accidentally using PAL instead of NTSC when i convert avi to dvd so that screwed me up. so now i need one that supports both formats. any suggestions?

    yeah, ive looked at OPPO before, but im looking for something cheaper, like <100USD. kind of like the Toshiba A3 price range.

    and if someone does have an A3, if they can assure it handles PAL and NSTC

    Yes, it will handle them both, It's region free so no need for PAL or NTSC.

    i meant for like SD DVD's. is it no region for SD DVD's? because i read that HD DVD's dont have any region locks.

    Oh, didn't know that's what you were talking about. When I see Toshiba HD DVD player, I think HD DVD. Yea, no hacks for that model that I know of.
