Hey I have been using Nero Ultra 7 for about 2 years or so if not longer and has been working great, downloaded and burned many a movie with this and have had no problems in burning them with Nero Vision. Now Last week I went to burn a movie and all of a sudden it came up as not enough space on disc please insert a new disc, now I have been using the same discs for quite some time (MaxellDVD-R or Memorex DVD-R) and have had rarely any problems. now Everything that I go to Trans code it comes up the same whether it is a 700 mb movie or whether it is a 900mb movie the same wording pops up. Now I know about the disc can only take a certain number of mg/gb on it for a 4.7 gb dvd it will fit about 4.4368 mb of info which I understand. I have not changed any of the settings all are the same as they have been in the past but why all of a sudden can I get not it to fit on a 4.7 GB disc. I have since installed Nero 9 thinking it was Nero 7 at first but it is not, the same message is happening again. So I trans coded it on to my hard drive and burned with DVD shrink however both movies that I have burned stopped in the middle of the movie and would not play.

Sorry about this long winded tirade but it is really frustrating when you get all set to watch a couple of movies and they wont bloody well fit on the same damn things u have been using for years.

So am I doing anything wrong do I need to start buying DVD9 discs. any help or light you can shed on this would be great(again sorry about the length of this

    Hi,

It is a well known fact that Nero 8 and 9 do not work with dvd shrink. Nero 7 works. Also there is a report that possibly sp3 in windows Xp may corrupt programs. IE 8 will cause programs that previously to work now fail.
