Alright guys, I know theres alot of these topics but I'm trying to do the research myself but running into roadblocks. Looking for help because theres alot of variables involved and compiling all the choices would be very time consuming and I'm on limited time due to me traveling..

I'm looking for a Dual Layered DVD burner for my uncle.

    The variables involved:

    - Internal or external would work, if the price is right he'd rather have external.
    - He wants to burn XBox360 games (I already gave him the firmware upgrade) (drive would have to due dual layered obviously)
    - He also wants to burn gamecube (i know alot of drives are picky with these).
    - He wants to burn XBox and PS2 games (pretty standard, no specific burners work better? or am I wrong?)
    - Lighscribe is a plus but not mandatory.

Last but not least, I'm only here till tomm, maybe next day at the most so it'd be very helpful if I could buy this drive at a retail shop. (best buy, circuit city, staples, etc, etc).

    Any suggestions?

I burn a lot of xbox and ps2 and went with the NEC 3550 But I don't know anything about it's d/l capabilities because I have no need to burn that big. Some people swear by the Pioneer 109/Asus 1608p but I didn't get on with them. The problem I had has since been resolved but I already bought the NEC.. Theres a cheap Samsung (came out mid 2005 but I can't remember the model) that is the best reader I have ever seen, and it's a pretty good burner too for £32

for the 360 you will need BitSetting capability
go for the BENQ or LITEON
