ok i installed the linux dashboard using mechassault and i got a problem where anytime i tried to open the tray it would open half way then close giving me a fullscreen error(either 13 or 21)in like 10 different languages. so i couldnt get on my regular dashboard and i could only get on the linux dash board by turning the xbox on with mechassault already in it and going through the campaign mode crap. well i was in my game saves and the i accidently deleted the mech assault file on my xbox so now i cant even get on the linux dash board. so i need to know if im totally screwed and will never be able to get a dashboard again. so basically: 1- i cant access my original dashboard because anytime i turn the xbox on with out a game in it or any time i open the disk trey i get an error. 2-i cant access my linux dashbord because my mechassault file is gone(and since i dont have my reg dash i cant copy a new one- can i??) 3-anytime i download the linux thing to my mem. card it wont appear during the game umm i just tried getting onto XBL for the auto update and it gave me a trouble shooter and i said ok so i got error 21 just so im clear i have absolutely no dashboard, when i installed this version of linux it basically deleted the origional instead of putting it in place of the XBL option on my org. dash. so i can only boot if there's a game in the disc drive, i need a dash desperately please someone help, i need to know if theres anything at all that can be done, be it restoring an old dash or getting a new one. but i need to know how cause these problems are only letting me into a game if the disc is already in the box. getting a new box is out of the question so i need to know if theres any options left for me.
Ok the linux version is ok......You just didn't back up your origanal dash.........you need to burn the Auto Installer Disk from xbins

well yea, it used to be when i installed the dashboard id have to cold boot or id always get an error code. but i deleted the dash and my orig. went with it but i still get the error code.
yea there is a sticky on how to accsess xbins and you need to get the Auto installer disk ...Which you need a Cd burner....
