ok i dl evol x. a few days ago on my xbox. khow my live does not work. even if i know it is setup right. my xbox live was working fine untill i got the new dash.b i was waiting for someone to reply and i decided i might as well get the mods on my xbox. so people told me i had to use flash fxp, core ftp, smart ftp, which one do i use now it wont connect to the xbox. any of those programs wont connect to the xbox so i can get the files out of it. SHOULD I HOOK IT UP TO THE COMP. DIRECTLY WITH A ETHERNET CORD?????????????????????? I DONT KNOW IF I SHOULD...WILL IT READ IT(MAYBE IT WONT B/C IT CANT GET ON THE INTERNET EITHER)..... hi me and u are in the same boat i just got my evox up tonight and now i regret it unless someone can tell me how to run the auto installer deluxe so i can hack the old ms dash i think thats the only way to get on live... if not then some one please help me to get this off my xbox it seems i have made a big mistake
where did u go to to try and load ur old dashboard i cant even find that do u have a 1.6 xbox or something?
allright all you have to do to get live working is start your xbox with the disc in it at least thats all i need to do.there are other ways to get on live, pm azzidrain about this. to ftp to your xbox download flash fxp from flashfxp.com. ftp stands for file transfer protocol (sending files from com to com or in this case com to xbox. if you want to hook up your xbox to your com directly then you need a [bold]crossover[/bold]-biggest noob mistake cable. look up ftping tutorials for the rest. a great site is http://www.chefelf.com/xbox/networking.php. once you ftp your xbox transfer all the files in E/TDATA/4d530064/ now download dothalo, cmr,h2x and design your own god damn mods its not that hard. but if your stupid go to google and search every modding tutorial for halo. i would like to thank this site for all the great tutorials to get me startedmonths ago.
hey ok a couple of questions... 1. did u use softmod install deluxe v2.0 if not what did u use 2. did u use auto installer deluxe becuase i need to know how to use this and how to get it on my xbox can u only ftp or what did u do?
alright then me and u have the same problems.. becuase on the tutorial it says u need to use auto installer deluxe to load a dashb. patch that will alow evox to run under the regular ms dashb. so basically its a hack but i cant use action replay any more becuase i cant access my effing hd so i guess ill have to ftp it when i finish d/l. its a biiiig file but if this works and i do learn how to ftp then ill help u out. and if any one else reading this knows if im right or what im doing wrong then please help us ur help is greatly appreciated.. i really dont want to have to buy a new xbox just to play live pm if u guys want ask for my aim sn
hey i figured out how u can play live while ur xbox is softmodded but people are saying u cant play with mods this way so this is just to hold u over until u find another way... but u can coldboot (turn xbox on putdisc in then turn xbox off then on again) and they game should come striaght on and not the evox menu then u should be able to play live... if u find a way to get on with hacks then hit me up
ok why is everybody tlking about the auto installer deluxe. wut is it. all i did to get the new dashboard is put the linux files on my xbox and start them up with splinter cell. Then it gave me this easy tutorial untill i got to the end which was the evol. x dashboard. whut is this auto installer deluxe and how r u supposed to get it to the xbox. please explain thanks
