Hi.. I have Nero 9 and tried to copy an old audio CD of mine. The CD was not factory made but a copy burned a few years ago. The Gracenote Database picked up the CD Title and Track Names but when I burnt the CD and played it in Windows Media Player it came up "Unknown CD" and no track name info. Just Track 1, Track 2, etc. How do I copy the database info into the CD so that the names show up when I play it ? Thanks in advance !
windows media player cant read tag information only factory pressed cd's use win amp or some other player to read the tag track information your burner can write tag information i take it?
My burner is a new external Lite-on I'm using with a new acer laptop and Windows Vista. I was checking Nero Support and on the screenshot of Nero Burning Rom on the Menu Text it shows "Database". I do not see entry on my menu ? I suppose they want me to buy a plug in ? But I thought the full version of Nero 9 included that ??
you didn't read my first comment correctly its got nothing to do with Nero windows media player doesn't read tag information
Sory but I have CDs burnt on Nero 7 and WMP shows all titles but I have same problem with nero 9 this is the answer from Nero/tech/sup CD TEXT can only be written in 'Disc-At-Once' mode or 'DAO/96' mode. Make sure your recorder does support CD TEXT by going to Nero's ´Recorder --> Choose Recorder' or let the Nero InfoTool confirm the drive supports this feature. Make sure you have the latest firmware for your recorder model, which can be obtained from your recorder manufacturer's website. Some hardware/software players do not support CD TEXT, such as Windows Media Player. Please choose a player that definitely supports CD TEXT, such as our Nero Media Player. Use the following link and download the Nero Burning ROM/Nero Express manual for your Nero version that explains you how to create an Audio CD with CD TEXT:I have not tryed it but it is my next task.
