hello, I've been using this particular capture device for about a year and a half. Recently, I bought a new computer, Dell E510, and have been trying to get the device to work with this computer with nothing but failure. The machine recognizes the device, installs the software like normal. However, when I go to actually capture the video, that's when the trouble happens. When I click preview, no video is being fed through, just a black screen. I'm pretty sure I have everything hooked up right (i.e. video cable hooked into video out on vcr) but I still can't get anything. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Maybe the Problem is that you are useing a "DEll" Computer as these Computers will generally only work with Proprietary Components Meaning you can only install "Dell" Branded Hardware in the Computers and if you want to replace a Broken Part or Upgrade a Part you Have to Buy it from Dell or the Part will not work in your PC....

This is Why Name Brand Computers "Suck" ,It is allways better and Usually Cheaper to Build your Own Computer that way all Parts work with any other Parts and you don"t have Issues with proprietary Hardware....

Have you Made sure you selected the Correct Video source in your Capture Software? (EG: S-Video or RCA/Composite)

Maybe Try different Capture software...Also Check your device Manager and see if the device has been Installed Properly because if it isn"t there should be a Yellow Question Mark in your Device Manager or a Red X....

    Good luck
