i know what you all are gonna say, but i will ask anyway my trial period ran out with anydvd, but i dont want to buy the software is thier anything else i can use in order to keep backing up some of my dvd's that require software like this?!?
You can use either DVDShrink or DVDFAB. Now the plus and minuss: Shrink Plus - It's free, and will do the compression for you too. Shrink minuss- It can't handle some of the newer movies, i.e Hitch, Stealth, Madagascar etc. But not all new movies are like this, only about 1% of movies coming out. FAB Plus- Also free and will handle the newer encryptions FAB minus- FAB is just a ripping software, you will have to compress w/ a diff program, like Shrink, so it adds another step to the process adding about 15-20 miuntes.
