    Helllo,

Okay I previously has Nero 6 point whatever .. and then I got windows vista and apparently the two aren't compatible. So I'm stuck with Nero 7 Ultra Edition and I'm having trouble burning DVDs.

I keep getting these error messages that says how I'm over 700 MB and how I can't go over 80 minutes or something ..

after I insert the DVD .. it burns like the thing hits 100% and this is the final error message I get

I remember previously I had to download a bunch of other things with Nero 6 to make the stuff work .. I was wondering if I have to do the same thing with Nero 7?
    Any help please?

Are you burning CD or DVD? Can you post the error log?

The first thing that you really should look at is the size that you're trying to burn onto the drive. If you go to the properties of the files, it'll show you the size. If it exceeds 700 megabytes, you need a dvd-r to write it. Your thread is titled "Need Help Burning DVDs", so I assume that this is the case. However, that error message means that you're trying to burn a DVD onto a CD-r, which is giving you the problem.

It's possible that there is a compatibility issue, but I don't think that's the case.

    Hi hi,

    sorry I'm burning a DVD.

It's a rewriteable DVD .. I've used it plenty of times before and never ever had any issues with it .. i've always been able to burn like 3/4 movies onto it simutaneously so I was a little surprised when I couldn't burn this one movie on the dvd!

I'm sorry I don't know where to find the error log .. can you tell me where I can find it?

um i just bought this computer and it came with Vista so I haven't done anything to it.

The Nero I downloaded a few weeks ago .. I'll delete and re-download again.

If you purchased a brand new PC with a burner, it should come with a burning software.
If it did not come with Nero, try ImgBurn (Free.)

I deleted and re installed by still no Nerohistory.

my older desktop came with Nero and it was so easy to use so I downloaded it again assuming things would work as smoothly .. but somethings not workinng ..

I just don't understand why it won't work!

What (version?) did you download and from where?

With information you provided, There aren't much I can tell...

Try ImgBurn to backup(copy) some files to make sure your hardware is ok.
