I've tried to burn two discs already and have ran into problems. Here is my scenario i'm running xp and have a philips dvd+r-d28. I have used both dvd decrypter and claddvd to rip the movies and end up with all the bup ifo and vob files. I have been able to figure out what files are not neccessary and kept the main ones. Anyway i'll get to the point when i tried to burn the files i did so in two directories first
    VIDEO_TS
    which contained the following files
    VIDEO_TS.BUP 22KB
    VIDEO_TS.IFO 22KB
    VTS_01_0.BUP 22KB
    VTS_01_0.IFO 22KB
    VTS_03_0.VOB 435606KB
    VTS_03_1.VOB 1048574KB
    VTS_03_2.VOB 1048574KB
    VTS_03_3.VOB 1048574KB

    then AUDIO_TS which was empty
I have read many threads and saw that this is the way many of you are burning especially to play on regular dvd players.
So when i use prassi it tells me no comopatible recorder.
And when i use nero it states that the video compliance test failed, if i continue anyway it then states there was a read error. I don't know what to do hope someone can help me out.

    ftp://eval.veritas.com/downloads/pro/sg2.61.exe

Downlaod this file called StorageGuard(5,25 MB).It is from their official website.
Install it and run it while online.
Let it do it's job and when it's finished reboot your PC.
Then it will recognize your Writer!

P.S. It's the solution for Prassi DVD !!!

Are you sure that you have done all the steps one by one?
Dind you installed the StorageGuard and run it so it could download the updates from the server?

S.P. The StorageGuard isn't the update but the tool that finds the updates for your driver on the company server.

    Good Luck !!!!

I installed the correct file and i'm running storage gaurd. I went into the program manually and told it to check for updates it then said that all of my products are currently up to date. I don't know why it isn't working. Any other suggestions?

Looking at your VOB list, the ones numbered VTS_03 should be VTS_01.

DVD format says this must be so.

When the main movie is not VTS_1, I use Smartripper, Movie mode. Then do a "Save As" VTS_1 Works every time.
