Hi. This is my first time buying an LCD TV and I'm pretty much buying it so that I can play my xbox 360 games in HD instead of my crappy old sony bubblescreen. I wanted some of you to take a look at this TV I'm buying and tell me if it looks like a solid tv for the price and to perhaps tell me of a better tv in it's price range. sorry if this is in the wrong section, i just really need help. Have a look guys; http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10099053&catid=23244
For the price it's awesome. Dynex obviously isn't LG or Sony but that means nothing in terms of images quality. It looks good to me and a 32" LCD is a big jump from a CRT.
I have a samsung r88 and to be honest its one of the best tv's for gaming. I have my 360 set up to it with hdmi cable and the graphics are out of this world. I used to have a whaferdale model which is cheap and the difference is unbelievable. I recomend samsung or sony models for gaming experience.
hi all. im new to this part of the forum and i was just wondering what is the best HD LCD TV, im thinking of buying a SONY 46 inch from there X-series. is this the best tv around just now. Any help would be great. thanks
Dundeeman, You won't go far wrong sticking with (in no particular order) Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Toshiba. Which one, and which new model of their's that is the flavour of the time seems to vary every 6 months or less. Just stick to your wish list of features such as size?? Full HD?? Number of HDMI sockets, audio outputs ??, Digital decoder?? etc etc..and you wont be dissapointed im sure.
If you're going to be primarily playing games on it, I would get one with the fastest response time. Something like 5ms or faster. You don't want a bunch of nasty looking artifacts on your new tv. IMO, I wouldn't go with that Dynex. Your will get much better performance and picture quality out of a Samsung. Also, if you are wanting a smaller set like that Dynex, I don't think 1920 x 1080 resolution will be very noticeable. This tv is a little more pricey then the one you are looking at, but try and find something in this class, or better. I just talked my girlfriends mother into buying this set - she LOVES it. Been watching the Olympics and several other fast action type sequences and no motion blur what's so ever. Colors are excellent - whites are white and blacks are black. The 32" set I believe is a bit cheaper, check that one out. Samsung - 37" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV Things to look for: High contrast Fast response time 500 cd/m² - brightness Outputs/Inputs @ Dundeeman Nice thread jack!
