I want to build a new PC to make it my home media center. Watching, ripping, decoding movies. Mabey some photoshop but I'm not into gaming. I'm not sure what processor or mother board to go with. I have a total budget of $1500. I have only picked out my case and speakers. I want the Logitech Z-5500 speakers and the antec P182 case because I want it to be as quiet as possible. What are your suggestions? Thanks

this is an hd tv tuner. there is a dual hd tuner that just came out but im not sure were to buy it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815116015
Good choice on the speakers and case! Krj's recommendations for the other components are pretty good, but I'd use this graphics card instead. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102703
thanks sammorris, I think I rather go with Cosair Ram too would this be right with the mother board nd what's a good heatsink/fan for cooling /overclocking. Sorry for all the questions, but I promise good Karma.
To post URLs, just cut and paste the link, don't bother with the square bracket url command. That RAM's pretty good, though I haven't used it myself. I use two sets (four sticks) of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145034 I'm not sure what would be best for overclocking. For the heatsink I'd say the Freezer 7 Pro or the Xigmatek.
